THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PHILOSOPHISE (G Wright) jumped slow, losing one length. b) LITTLE MISS PINK (K Matsunyane) and LA DIVINA (C Orffer) made contact leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MULBERRY STREET (D Schwarz) and PRICELESS (L Mxothwa) pulled hard in the early and middle stages. b) At the 1100m NORDIC QUEST (A Domeyer), which was hanging in, rolled in and had to be directed outwards away from the heels of ISLAND TREASURE (A Andrews), which rolled out. c) Jockey M Winnaar reported that SYMPHONY OF LIGHT, which was hanging out throughout, reported that this mare felt uncomfortable in its action and he did not persevere with his riding in the straight. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) Jockey G Wright reported that he felt something amiss with PHILOSOPHISE. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) DOUBLE GRAND SLAM, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
