Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PANTADOR (L Nhlapo) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing one length. b) REDWING (A Arries) jumped slow, losing one length. c) HATFULLOFCHERRIES (S Khumalo) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Due to the heavy rain that fell between Races 3 and 4, the Stewards kept the horses and riders in the parade ring until the rain subsided and thereafter instructed the Riders to proceed directly to the start, causing a delay. b) At the 350m EXCALIBUR (D Schwarz) shifted in away from the crop and had to be straightened. c) At the 200m Jockey D Schwarz (EXCALIBUR) briefly got his crop tangled in his reins. d) At the 150m HAWK CIRCLE (M Yeni) shifted in away from the crop and made contact with MOHANDAS (L Mxothwa). e) MOHANDAS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
