THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FOLLOW ME (D De Gouveia) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls and then hesitated. b) SUPREME QUEST (R Munger) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FOLLOW ME (D De Gouveia) jumped awkwardly, hesitated and had to be coaxed forward by its rider and subsequently commenced to over-race from its trailing position. b) MARYAH (M Yeni) over-raced and proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages and thereafter commenced to hang out from the 400m. c) At the 50m, SPRINKLES (W Kennedy) rolled out slightly away from the crop and was momentarily awkwardly placed on the inside of DESERT MIRACLE (G Lerena) which shifted in marginally away from the crop. d) There was a delay to the official placings being declared by the Judge regarding the second and third positions due to a technical issue in the Judges box. e) RAIN IN HOLLAND (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (LN). f) SPRINKLES (W Kennedy), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
