THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JAPANESE ROSE (R Fourie) restless in the stalls. b) WHISTLING DIXIE (IRE) (G van Niekerk), STATE CAPITOL (A Mgudlwa) and SAINT BRIGID (G Wright) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ROCKING PEONIE (M Winnaar) raced awkwardly on the turn. b) WHISTLING DIXIE (IRE) (G van Niekerk) raced green. c) DEVILISHLYGEORGOUS (*MK Katjedi) was hanging out in the latter stages. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that SNOW IN LOVE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey A Mgudlwa reported that STATE CAPITOL coughed post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding JAPANESE ROSE (R Fourie) Trainer B Crawford will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. g) JAPANESE ROSE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
