THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ELUSIVE JEWEL (D Shwarz) was stubborn loading, causing a delay.
b)	PSYCHEDELIC ERIC (J Gates) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Leaving the 200m PSYCHEDELIC ERIC (J Gates) was momentarily held up when awkwardly placed on the outside of SETTLE THE DUST (JP van der Merwe).
b)	At the 100m PERSISTANCE (M Mjoka) was carried inwards by SIRNIHAALLONGSWORD (A Arries), which was hanging in and had to be straightened.
c)	DUKE OF ORANGE (S Khumalo) was hanging in in the straight and had to be straightened leaving the 100m.
d)	Jockey J Gates reported that PSYCHEDELIC ERIC did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
e)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding ELUSIVE JEWEL (D Shwarz) Trainer SB Kotzen will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
f)	NOTORIX, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JP Nel was advised. (LM)
