THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MY SECRET PLACE (M Nyamagwete) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey M Nyamagwete reported that MY SECRET PLACE took no interest in running. In view of this report, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) IAN'S FERRARI (W Marwing) hung in in the concluding stages. c) Jockey J R Syster was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3, in that as the Rider of ZAZU, he failed to ride this mare to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. Jockey Syster signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined US$250. d) PRINCE OF KIMBERLY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Mason advised (RJvR) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) IAN'S FERRARI (W Marwing) raced without alumites and equipped with steel shoes, raced with earmuffs on. b) MY SECRET PLACE (M Nyamagwete) raced without alumites and equipped with steel shoes. RACECARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) MY SECRET PLACE was examined post race and nothing untoward was found. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS
