THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NAVAJO NATION (S Moodley) kicked the back gates, was removed and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MEXICAN PETE (M Yeni) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) Jockey C Zackey reported that STRATHCLYDE took no interest when encouraged in the straight. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) MEXICAN PETE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Robinson advised (DZ).
