a)	BITTERMINT (L Mxothwa) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 200m Jockey G van Niekerk (ETOILEFILLANTE) hesitated with his riding when awkwardly placed on the outside of FLY FUTURA (A Domeyer), which rolled out.
b)	In view of the performance of BITTERMINT (L Mxothwa) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
c) 	Jockey C Bantam appeared before the Board and was advised that while the Stewards accepted that PRIME VENTURE was winning with something in hand, he still has an obligation to ride his mounts at least hands and heels to the finish. 
d)	PRIME VENTURE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (SC)
