THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) AFROPOLITAN (A Mgudlwa) was hanging out from the 300m. b) Apprentice R A Venniker reported that WARRIOR BLING faltered in the running and as a result she did not persevere with her ride from the 300m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Assistant Trainer B Forster acting on behalf of Trainer W A Nel was requested to report back on the condition of WARRIOR BLING upon return to stables. c) EL REY VIENE (C Habib) was hanging in from the 200m. d) In view of the performance of STRAIGHT UP (*K J Lihaba) (7.60 lengths, 5/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) AFROPOLITAN (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
