THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WINGS OF NIKE (Wes Marwing) was stubborn loading. b) ROSE FOR TRIPPI (P Strydom) and HEIRLOOM (G Lerena) jumped sharply inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, WINGS WITHIN ME (S Khumalo) was bumped in by MISS HANNIGAN (A Mgudlwa), which jumped awkwardly inwards leaving the stalls. b) Jockey M Yeni reported that GLOBAL THUNDER did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey G Lerena reported that HEIRLOOM made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) TROPPO VELOCE (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) ICE STAR: Apprentice T Mayhew weighed out at 54kg, only claiming 3kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance as declared. b) WINGS WITHIN ME: Jockey S Khumalo weighed out at 54,6kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
