THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RESPECTABLE MISS (R Fourie) was stubborn loading. b) IZHIESTIA (M Mjoka) was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates. c) TRIP TO BARBERTON (S Khumalo) and ST CLOUD (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing two lengths. d) OPERA SWING (J Gates) and DREAM STAR (L Mxothwa) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) IZHIESTIA (M Mjoka) jumped inwards and made contact with OPERA SWING (J Gates). b) TRIP TO BARBERTON (S Khumalo) jumped outwards and made contact with ST CLOUD (K Minnie). c) RESPECTABLE MISS (R Fourie) raced awkwardly with a high head carriage in the early stages. d) OPERA SWING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
