b)	ROYAL SIEGE (+C Simpson) was slow losing two lengths.	
c)	POTTINGER (+P Mlangeni) was slow into stride.	
d)	ARLINGTON ACTION (+T Mayhew) was slow losing two lengths.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) 	ROYAL SIEGE (+C Simpson) cast its right hind shoe, which the farrier was unable to replace. The farrier removed the left hind shoe and this gelding raced with alumites in front and unshod behind.
b)	At approximately the 300m, ROYAL SIEGE (+C Simpson) was carried in by ARLINGTON ACTION (+T Mayhew), which hung in.	
c)	ARLINGTON ACTION (+T Mayhew) and ROYAL SIEGE (+C Simpson), after being slow away, failed to muster early speed and raced detached from the field in the early stages. Thereafter, after responding to the urgings from their Riders, these geldings finished the race off strongly. 
d)	Work Rider S Siphika reported that BULLETIN made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
	The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
e)	Work Rider C Simpson reported that ROYAL SIEGE did not stride out freely in running.  
	The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	Work Rider A Feni appeared before the Board and was advised against the practice of making celebratory gestures prior to the finish line. 
g)	JUST A MEMORY (+A Feni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
