THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JET DYNASTY (G Lerena) and AMERICAN STAR (R Fourie) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CATCH THE TUNE commenced to give ground suddenly from the 700m. Consequently, Jockey M Yeni did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Jockey S Khumalo felt something amiss with BEY SUYAY and eased this gelding out of the race at approximately the 500m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) SCARLETT PIMPERNEL (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Azzie advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) PROFESSOR SNAPE raced equipped with blinkers (declared 28 October 2023 at 07H14).
