Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PORTCULLIS (K Matsunyane) and MO FLOW (R Danielson) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GREEN KNIGHT (C Zackey) proved difficult proceeding to the start and had to be led by a Handler. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future engagements, it may be suspended. b) Shortly after the start CASINO ACE (D Daniels) was bumped outwards by WINNING CAPTAIN (C Bantam) when GIMME'S CAPTAIN (G Lerena) shifted outwards leaving the stalls. As a consequence, WINNING CAPTAIN (C Bantam) was slow into stride and lost position. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that GREEN KNIGHT changed stride awkwardly leaving the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) MAJOR APOLLO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GW Ennion was advised.
