Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HARAJUKU (G Lerena) was fractious and reared in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. b) MY GOLLY MOLLY (A Domeyer) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The Stewards noted that the saddle on MY GOLLY MOLLY slipped forward approaching the 800m. As a consequence, this colt raced wide on the turn and thereafter, Jockey A Domeyer was unable to assist MY GOLLY MOLLY in the straight. b) JUST VAR (D Daniels) pulled hard in the early and middle stages. c) PARATROOPER (K Matsunyane) was hanging out on the bend and as a consequence, raced wide into the straight. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding HARAJUKU (G Lerena), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 30/10/2023 to 05/11/2023 inclusive). HARAJUKU may not be presented for re-passing during this period. e) QUESTIONING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (WM) f) SNOW PILOT, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
