THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TOTHEMOONANDBACK (G van Niekerk) and CARAMEL FUDGE (A Arries) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TOTHEMOONANDBACK (G van Niekerk) broke loose at the start, cantered a short distance back to the parade ring, was taken in hand, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and returned to the start. b) TWICE THE MASTER (O Noach) raced wide on the bend and into the straight. c) PRICELESS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Donnelly, acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised.
