Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	CASTLETOWN (K Matsunyane) was nervous and rushed the front gates of the starting stalls.
b)	BUSH TRACKER (L Mxothwa) was nervous and kicked the back gates of the starting stalls.
c)	MOUNT ANDERSON (E Webber) and QUASIMODO (S Moodley) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	In view of the performance of THE FUTURIST (C Zackey), which raced without cover in the early stages and was allowed to race around runners and to the front of the field at the 1000m and was not persevered from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
b)	HAN SOLO (R Danielson) was hanging out on the turn.
c)	Leaving the 400m FIND ME UNAFRAID (C Maujean) had to be steadied when unable to secure clear running between LIGHT WITHOUT (P Mxoli) and CASTLETOWN (K Matsunyane).
d)	Approaching the 300m CHERRY ANO (S Khumalo) was carried inward marginally by LORD WILLIAM (A Arries), which was hanging in and shifted in.
e)	Leaving the 200m GRAZINGINTHEGRASS (R Fourie) and LORD WILLIAM (A Arries) raced tight for a short distance.
f)	An Inquiry will be opened into Jockey J Gates (GALLIC TRIBE) use of the crop. 
g)	FUTURE SWING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee Z Xamle, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised. (LM)
