THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THUNDERIN TYPHOONS (G Wright) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After being slow to begin THUNDERIN TYPHOONS (G Wright) pulled hard in the early stages and was allowed to race around runners and into a handy position. Thereafter, when placed under pressure, THUNDERIN TYPHOONS hung in badly, proved difficult to assist and Jockey G Wright did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. b) At the 200m NAUSHON (B Fayd'Herbe), which was directed outwards into clear running and RAINBOW COLOURS (A Domeyer), which was hanging in and shifted in sharply away from the crop, brushed. c) INFRARED, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Donnelly acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised.
