Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	Fair start.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Immediately after the start IDEAL ACT (C Bantam) and HAMMIES HERO (A Andrews) bumped on a number of occasions. Shortly thereafter, LINES CROSSED (G van Niekerk) and ORIENTAL CHARM (K Matsunyane) made contact a number of times on the outside of THE TINKERMAN (O Noach), which rolled outwards and was straightened.
b)	From a rearward position, STREET OUTLAW (D Schwarz) made its run on the inside of the course. Thereafter, leaving the 250m this gelding lost position when severely tightened for galloping room between the inside running rail and IDEAL ACT (C Bantam) and VELDSKOEN (AUS) (L Mxothwa). This incident will be reviewed. 
c)	Making the final turn, approaching the 600m, LINES CROSSED (G van Niekerk) had to be steadied when close to the heels of THE TINKERMAN (O Noach). Jockey G van Niekerk reported that LINES CROSSED felt uncomfortable in its action and he did not persevere with his riding in the straight. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	In the concluding stages Jockey C Zackey (CHEEKY LADDIE) could not persevere with his riding when close to the heels of VELDSKOEN (AUS) (L Mxothwa).
e)	HAMMIES HERO (A Andrews) came to the end of its run and commenced to give ground approaching the 100m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	CAFE CULTURE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Woodruff was advised. (SC)
