THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LEMON SCENT (M Thackeray) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ARSENE LUPIN (*K Lihaba) hung out around the turn which resulted in this gelding racing wide into the straight. b) In the concluding stages, GLOBAL RULER (*R Venniker) was momentarily inconvenienced between FIREFLARE (A Mgudlwa) which shifted out away from the crop and HIAWATHA GOLDBERG (M Yeni) which was hanging in. c) Jockey C Habib (GIJIMA MFANA) accidentally dropped his crop in the concluding stages. d) In view of the performance of FIRST MASTER (T Godden) (15.10 lengths, 14/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) HIAWATHA GOLDBERG (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
