Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TSUNAMI WARNING (C Zackey) was restless in the stalls, kicked the back gates, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay. b) WHISPERING ANGEL (R Danielson) was restless in the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. c) WILLIAM'S LEGACY (O Noach) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start HOUSE OF SUSSEX (A Andrews) jumped inwards and made contact with the hindquarters of OTIS THE BRAVE (D Ashby). b) WHISPERING ANGEL (R Danielson), which over raced in the early and middle stages, was allowed to race to the front of the field approaching the 600m. Thereafter, this filly tired quickly in the straight and Jockey R Danielson did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Leaving the 100m the shaft on Jockey D Ashby's (OTIS THE BRAVE) crop broke. d) SEXBOMB (IRE) (L Mxothwa) raced green. e) Jockey A Andrews reported that HOUSE OF SUSSEX did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding TSUNAMI WARNING (C Zackey), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 15/11/2023 to 21/11/2023 inclusive). TSUNAMI WARNING may not be presented for re-passing during this period. g) UNICORN ALERT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
