THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KWITE A KING (G van Niekerk) jumped slow, losing one length. b) BATON ROUGE (L Mxothwa) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 400m DAWN CLOUD (P Mxoli) was directed to the inside of FRENCH TRIP (C Orffer) to continue its run. b) Leaving the 400m Jockey A Domeyer (IGUGULETHU) hesitated with his riding when awkwardly placed on the inside of KWITE A KING (G van Niekerk). c) Jockey A Domeyer reported that, in his opinion, IGUGULETHU's performance was disappointing. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) TOUCHDOWN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised.
