Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BLACK PATH (O Noach) jumped awkwardly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 150m YOU WIN AGAIN (C Zackey) had to be checked when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MIGHTY MAC (A Domeyer), which shifted in. Shortly thereafter, MIGHTY MAC (A Domeyer) continued to shift in and made contact with the hindquarters of SHIFTING PATH (A Andrews), which was turned and unbalanced. The Stewards called for a race review which was followed by Jockey A Andrews (SHIFTING PATH) reviewing this incident. This was followed by an Objection being lodged by Jockey A Andrews, the rider of the 2nd placed horse SHIFTING PATH against the winner MIGHTY MAC (A Domeyer) on the grounds of interference in the latter stages. The Objection Board, after giving due regard to the evidence put forward, reviewing the patrol films and giving consideration of the margin of 0,05 of a length between the two horses concerned, were satisfied that but for the interference SHIFTING PATH would have finished ahead of MIGHTY MAC had this incident not occurred and therefore upheld the Objection. b) MIGHTY MAC, placed 2nd after an objection, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
