THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RED PALACE (A Domeyer) was fractious in the stalls, caught its right hind leg on the running board of the starting stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. b) MIA'S HARPER (C Zackey), LITTLE MISS PINK (O Noach) and SUMMER LILY (JP van der Merwe) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed to allow the betting public time to restructure their bets. b) Shortly after the start LITTLE MISS PINK (O Noach) shifted inwards and brushed MIA'S HARPER (C Zackey). c) EASY MONEY (C Bantam), MIA'S HARPER (C Zackey) and PINEAPPLEMINTGREEN (R Fourie) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. d) PINEAPPLEMINTGREEN (R Fourie) raced wide on the turn. e) Jockey JP van der Merwe's (SUMMER LILY) crop briefly became entangled in his reins in the concluding stages. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding RED PALACE (A Domeyer) this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 15/11/2023 to 21/11/2023 inclusive). RED PALACE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. g) SIDDELEY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
