Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BRIDGERTON (L Mxothwa) was nervous in the stalls. b) DEEP DIVE (K Minnie) jumped sharply outwards and thereafter refused to gallop. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to DEEP DIVE (K Minnie) in stall gate 9 and established that this gelding had turned outwards sharply leaving the stalls and thereafter refused to gallop. No further action was taken. b) In view of the report from the Starter regarding DEEP DIVE (K Minnie), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to jump on terms and gallop with a companion (Suspension dates: 18/11/2023 to 24/11/2023 inclusive). DEEP DIVE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. c) SWIFTWINGED, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised.
