THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RADU (P Strydom) stumbled leaving the stalls. b) DIESEL'S SHADOW (*S Sosibo) jumped inwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice T Mayhew was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of FUSHIMI INARI he misused his crop by striking FUSHIMI INARI more than 12 times (14) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Apprentice T Mayhew signed an admission of guilt and was fined R6000,00. b) RADU, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SG Tarry was advised.
