THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) BEYONDTHEBOUNDARY (A Mgudlwa) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. b) Jockey C F Dicken (LUCRETIUS) accidently dropped his crop at the finish. c) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something was amiss with LORD WYLIE in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey G Lerena reported that SOUTHERN SKIES did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of RALPH THE RASCAL (*S Hlengwa), (20/1 in the betting, 7.20 lengths) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) NELSON BAY (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
