THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOLDEN CORN (P Mxoli) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) QUICK TRIP (L Mxothwa), which proved difficult to settle in the early stages, raced wide on the turn. b) Jockey G Wright reported that he felt something amiss with TRUE HORIZON and he did not persevere with his riding from the 250m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) GOLDEN CORN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GS Kotzen was advised. (WM) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Nil RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) Nil THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) TRUE HORIZON - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected. Trainer AN Marcus was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS
