THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey R Danielson reported that STATE CAPITOL did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) Jockeys A Andrews and P Mxoli reported that DARK FUTURE and ROADLESSTRAVELLED respectively made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. c) Jockey A Arries was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on ROADLESSTRAVELLED, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer, resulting in a change of rider. Jockey A Arries signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00. d) TIME FOR LOVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Rix was advised.
