THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NIPPY WINTER (A Domeyer) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. b) IMPRESSIVE QUEEN (C Orffer) jumped awkwardly outwards. c) APOLLO MOON (O Noach) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 300m, NIPPY WINTER (A Domeyer) improved into a narrow run on the outside of MAGNETIC DIME (G van Niekerk) which rolled out slightly, which resulted in NIPPY WINTER (A Domeyer) making contact with SUPER SIRI (L Mxothwa). b) In view of the performance of MARGIN CALL (*R Venniker) (Betting 6/1 ; Distance 7.50) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) NIPPY WINTER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised. (JF) d) LITTLE DOE, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DM Kannemeyer was advised.
