THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPYDAS CORNER (Y Ramzan) jumped slow, losing one length. b) WHATEVER NEXT (K Minnie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 700m CAPTAIN MORISCO (D Ashby) rolled out marginally and had to be steadied when close to the heels of GIACOMO PUCCINI (M Yeni). b) Jockey D Ashby reported that CAPTAIN MORISCO did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) TUSCAN GOLD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
