THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	SLIM JANNIE (L Mxothwa) and TEATRO (R Fourie) were nervous in the stalls.
b)	IRON BARK (M Yeni) was nervous in the stalls and thereafter slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 400m STRANGER DANGER (D Schwarz) rolled in and had to be directed outwards away from the heels of LEDELL'S ECHO (E Webber).
b)	At the 50m a tiring TIPSY TINA (M Mjoka) was steadied briefly when racing in restricted galloping room between the inside running rail and EVIES FIRST (D Ashby), which was carried in marginally by SLIM JANNIE (L Mxothwa).
c)	In view of the performance of IRON BARK (M Yeni) (Betting 9/4; Distance 4.55 lengths) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
d)	Jockey D Schwarz reported that STRANGER DANGER did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
e)	SLIM JANNIE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
