Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ELUSIVE JEWEL (E Webber) was stubborn loading. b) COLORAMA (X Ndlovu) was nervous in the stalls. c) STATE OF MIND (R Khathi) was restless in the stalls, rushed the front gates as the start was effected and fly-jumped leaving the stalls. d) DEFINING MOMENT (M Mjoka) jumped slow, losing one length. e) UNITED EXPRESS (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to STATE OF MIND (R Khathi in stall gate 11 and established that this mare had rushed the front gates as the start was effected. The Stewards were satisfied that all front gates had opened simultaneously and therefore took no further action. b) IDABELLE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised.
