Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	ARAGOSTA (J Penny) jumped sharply outwards leaving the stalls.
b)	SECOND BASE (K A Brewer), BLESS MY STARS (R Fourie) and BINGWA (S Moodley) were slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	COUSIN CASEY (G van Niekerk), WINCHESTER MANSION (K Matsunyane) and BINGWA (S Moodley) over-raced in the early stages.
b)	At approximately the 500m, ARAGOSTA (J Penny) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of WINCHESTER MANSION (K Matsunyane), which shifted in abruptly and was immediately straightened. 
c)	ZEUS (D Schwarz) was switched in at approximately the 400m to continue its run.
d)	PUERTO MANZANO (G Lerena) hung in from the 300m.
e)	Jockey	S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with BILLY BOWLEGS in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. 
f)	At the 300m, ATTICUS FINCH (C Habib) and LITIGATION (C Zackey) were steadied to avoid the heels of SAFE PASSAGE (L Mxothwa) when they were carried inwards by SON OF RAJ (A Mgudlwa), which shifted inwards. 
Jockey	A Mgudlwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of SON OF RAJ, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to ATTICUS FINCH (C Habib) and LITIGATION (C Zackey) when he shifted in at approximately the 300m. Jockey A Mgudlwa signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of fourteen (14) days.
Suspension dates:  4th December 2023 to 17th December 2023 (both days inclusive).	
g)	ROYAL VICTORY (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

h)	SAFE PASSAGE (L Mxothwa), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M F de Kock advised (MduP).
i)	BLESS MY STARS (R Fourie), placed third, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (AH).
