THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	ARUMUGAM (K Matsunyane) and FLYING FIRST CLASS (A Mgudlwa) stumbled leaving the stalls. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	NEBRAAS (R Fourie) over-raced in the early and middle stages.
b)	ARUMUGAM (K Matsunyane) hung out badly from the 400m. Thereafter, Jockey	K Matsunyane reported that ARUMUGAM did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
c)	In view of the performance of NEBRAAS (R Fourie), (distance 13,50 lengths, betting 9/4), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.	
d)	Jockey	J Penny reported that COROMANDEL made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this horse. 	
e)	Jockey	P Mxoli was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he, as the rider of POSITIVE ATTITUDE, misused his crop by striking this gelding more than twelve times (16) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. 
Jockey	P Mxoli signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R10,000 was imposed.
f)	BREEZE OVER (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
