THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SHAMPIMPI (G Lerena) was restless in the stalls. b) WINGS OF NIKE (P Strydom), GOCEKWITHLOVE (K Matsunyane), WHITE HILLS (R Danielson) and SI VELOCE (P Mxoli) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WINGS OF NIKE (P Strydom) commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. b) Apprentice T Mayhew reported that HEIRLOOM changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with NEERAH in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) INVENTRIX (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Bronkhorst advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) WHITE HILLS was ridden by Jockey R Danielson - Stipes permission (declared 24 November 2023 at 08H17). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) HEIRLOOM raced with a tongue tie on (declared 28 November 2023 at 06H08). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) WINGS OF NIKE not striding out right hind. b) HEIRLOOM examined post race, nothing obvious detected. c) NEERAH not striding out right hind. d) MICKE'S BOMB abnormal respiratory noise. e) WAR QUEEN blowing post race. f) SI VELOCE cut into left front.
