THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DYNASTY'S LAST (*S Hlengwa) was stubborn to load. Fly-jumped leaving the stalls and lost 3 lengths. Trainer L W Goosen will be advised to re-school this filly. b) MAGMA MAGIC (D S Lembethe) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 250m and thereafter at the 200m RAILROAD (C Habib) was carried in marginally by TEATIME TIPPLE (S Veale) which rolled in. b) MAGMA MAGIC (D S Lembethe) shifted both ways away from the crop in the concluding stages. c) Jockey C F Dicken reported that LIGHTNING JIMMY faltered at approximately the 300m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) SPIRIT OF ABRAHAM (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
