Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	LASTING INFLUENCE (J Solomons) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	ROUGAROUIN (M Winnaar) jumped outwards and made contact with THE US OF A (B Fayd'Herbe).
c) 	NIGHT BOMBER (L Mxothwa) and SPENCER (C Bantam) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 
a)	At the 500m PLEASEDTOSEEYOU (C Orffer) rolled out, clipped the heels of SOOTY (D Ashby) and stumbled.
b)	Approaching the 200m RUN FOR ME (G Cheyne) had to be steadied, losing momentum, when brushed outwards by SONG TO THE MOON (G van Niekerk), which shifted out. As a consequence, NIGHT BOMBER (L Mxothwa), which was racing to the outside of RUN FOR ME (G Cheyne), had to be directed outwards and into clear running, which resulted in ROUGAROUIN (M Winnaar) and PLUS FOUR (A Domeyer) being carried outwards. An Inquiry will be held into this incident. 
c)	Approaching the 100m NIGHT BOMBER (L Mxothwa) clipped the heels of KAAPSE KLOPSE (R Fourie) and stumbled when KAAPSE KLOPSE (R Fourie) shifted out. Immediately after this incident, THE REAL PRINCE (C Zackey) and KAAPSE KLOPSE (R Fourie) came together and bumped. An Inquiry will be held into this incident.
d)	Jockey G Lerena reported that COLONEL GREEN changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	Trainer C Bass-Robinson was charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that she failed to notify the local office of the National Horseracing Authority within two (2) business days that PLUS FOUR had been gelded. Assistant Trainer M Arnold signed an Admission of Guilt on behalf of Trainer C Bass-Robinson and Trainer C Bass-Robinson was fined R 500,00.
f)	Trainer AE Sands was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he failed to ensure that KAAPSE KLOPSE was correctly equipped when presented in the parade ring. Trainer AE Sands signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning.
g)	THE REAL PRINCE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DM Kannemeyer was advised. (WM)
