Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	OCTOBER MORN (G Wright) was slow into stride.
b)	ONI SAN (A Arries) jumped inwards and thereafter was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After being slow to begin, OCTOBER MORN (G Wright) was brushed outwards by KWINTA'S LIGHT (G van Niekerk), which shifted out leaving the stalls.
b)	OCTOBER MORN (G Wright) was unable to secure a clear run until the 150m.
c)	At the 50m BLUE HOLLY (G Cheyne) had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the outside of the heels of SHANTASTIC (P Strydom), which shifted out marginally.
d)	Jockey P Mxoli reported that GOLDEN TATJANA did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	Jockey A Domeyer was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on OCTOBER MORN, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer. Jockey A Domeyer signed an admission of guilt and was fined R3 000.00.
f)	KWINTA'S LIGHT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (WM)
g)	SHANTASTIC, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DM Kannemeyer was advised. (DD)
