THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1300m, BLOOMINGTON (D Schwarz) took hold of the bit and took a number of awkward strides whilst commencing to over-race. As a consequence, BLOOMINGTON (D Schwarz) raced wide into the turn. b) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with INDUS KNIGHT in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) BURMESE TIARA (*X Jacobs), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
