THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DEAN STREET (B Fayd'Herbe) stumbled leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, VELDSKOEN (AUS) (K Matsunyane) cast its left front shoe on the way to the start which had to be replaced.
b)	DOUBLE CHARGE (G Cheyne) was held up for a clear run until the 250m.
c)	Leaving the 200m VELDSKOEN (AUS) (K Matsunyane) hesitated with his riding when awkwardly placed between the heels of USA'S HOPE (C Zackey) and STREET OUTLAW (C Orffer). 
d)	At the 150m FUTURE TURN (JP van der Merwe) and DEAN STREET (B Fayd'Herbe) were awkwardly placed between ELUSIVE WINTER (G Lerena), which rolled out and DUMBLEDORE (O Noach), which rolled in.
e)	In the concluding stages YAMADORI (G van Niekerk), which commenced to give ground, shifted in sharply and had to be straightened. As a consequence, Jockey G van Niekerk was unable to ride YAMADORI to the finish.
f)	DEAN STREET (B Fayd'Herbe) showed a tendency to hang in throughout. 
g)	LINES CROSSED (A Andrews) tired quickly in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
h)	Jockey G Lerena reported that ELUSIVE WINTER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
i)	KING OF THE GAULS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AJ Rivalland was advised. (WM)
