THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DREAM STATE (+T Ncume) became restless and reared as the start was effected. Thereafter, this gelding jumped awkwardly outwards, losing two lengths. b) MAJOR STRIDES (+V Sithetho) and MAMBO LINE (+S Dwayana) were slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Work Rider T Ncume reported that DREAM STATE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Work Rider I Lukhele reported that FLYING PUMA made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) LADY CRUSADE (+C Mabaya), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Crawford, acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised (MduP). WORK RIDER CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) FLYING PUMA raced with a cornell collar (declared 3 October 2023). b) MAMBO LINE raced equipped with blinkers (declared 30 November 2023 at 14H41). c) MAMBO LINE raced with club colours (black with a blue cap) Stipes permission.
