THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SOMEDAY MAYBE (J Penny) and SOUND MACHINE (C Habib) were restless in the stalls. b) FRENCH DUCHESS (R Fourie) was restless in the stalls and thereafter stood, losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Stable Employee S Habib, acting on behalf of Trainer S G Tarry, was advised (GT). c) ROYAL HORIZON (J R Syster) reared in the stalls. d) OUT THE MIST (L Mxothwa) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. e) ROYAL HORIZON (J R Syster) jumped outwards sharply leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) OUT THE MIST stumbled and fell dislodging Jockey L Mxothwa in the pull-up area. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to FRENCH DUCHESS, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 10 December 2023 to 16 December 2023. FRENCH DUCHESS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Stable Employee S Habib, acting on behalf of Trainer S G Tarry, was advised. c) SUGARY SWEET (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
