THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OTIS THE BRAVE (D Ashby) was stubborn loading. b) TOKYO TOWER (L Mxothwa) and PATRICK'S ONE (C Bantam) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PATRICK'S ONE (C Bantam) raced green and was hanging out throughout. b) Jockey R Fourie reported that STARS IN HEAVEN did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockeys D Ashby and C Orffer reported that OTIS THE BRAVE and THE JOKER changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding OTIS THE BRAVE (D Ashby), Trainer PD Reeves will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) GUARDING THE WALL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
