THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TURF GURU (L Nhlapo) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) IT'S PERSONAL (G Lerena) jumped awkwardly inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, INSPECTOR JAMES (A Fortune) was bumped out by TURF GURU (L Nhlapo), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) GLOBAL LOVE (J Penny) failed to muster speed on debut and trailed the field throughout. c) In view of the performance of INSPECTOR JAMES (A Fortune), (distance 6,40 lengths, betting 13/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Apprentice K J Lihaba reported that SKY ON FIRE took a number of awkward strides in running. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. e) IT'S PERSONAL (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Botha, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Magner, was advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
