Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TRIP TO BARBERTON (S Khumalo), RESPECTABLE MISS (K Minnie) and SOFT TOUCH (M Mjoka) were stubborn loading and thereafter were slow into stride. b) STATE OF MIND (R Khathi) was nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing two lengths. c) ST CLOUD (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. b) MARSHMALLOW (Y Ramzan) was hanging out in the latter stages. c) Jockey D Ashby reported that MORE FOR ME did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) HEARTSEASE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
