THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FLORAL FANTASY (S Hlengwa) was slow to stride. b) TOMYRIS (J Gates) lost 1 length. c) TRIP TO NEBRASKA (S Moodley) lost 3 lengths and thereafter was slow into stide. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) TINA'S KITTEN (N Patel) which had come to the end of its run, shifted in between the 300m and the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) In the concluding stages VALLI GIRL (*R A Venniker) which was hanging in from the 300m, was inconvenienced when racing in close proximity to the heels of ELEGANT ACT (S Veale). c) Jockey S Moodley reported that TRIP TO NEBRASKA did not stride out freely in the running, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) MASCHERINA (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
