THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ITSA KINDA (*M Katjedi) was stubborn to load and this gelding got his right hind caught up on the partition of the stalls, was removed, declared fit to race and was re-loaded. Trainer R Hill will be advised to re-school this gelding. b) SHOT OF COURAGE (D Dillon) was stubborn to load. Trainer D I Campbell will be advised to re-school this gelding. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Apprentice M Katjedi (ITSA KINDA) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. b) FILL YOUR BOOTS (M Yeni) was hanging out on the bend and raced wide into the straight. c) Jockey D Dillon the rider of SHOT OF COURAGE accidentally dropped his crop at the 300m. d) Jockey A Arries the rider of WITHOUT DOUBT was dislodged in the pull up area and as a result was incapacitated from weighing back in. The Stipendiary Board acting in terms of Rule 66.2 deemed his weight to be correct. e) In view of the performance of ALMA MATER (7.40 lengths, 2/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer D Moore will be advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. f) SHAKEN NOT STIRRED (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
