THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	LEGAL THRILLER (K Minnie) was stubborn loading.
b)	MORNING CHESS (J Gates) jumped inwards. 
c)	ABOUND (L Mxothwa) stumbled leaving the stalls.
d) 	HUMBLE TUNE (Y Ramzan) was slow into stride.


THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start, TWICE IN CAMDEN (D Ashby), which was initially bumped inwards by MORNING CHESS (J Gates), had to be steadied and made contact with the hindquarters of ABOUND (L Mxothwa), which after stumbling leaving the stalls, shifted out sharply. As a consequence, MORNING CHESS (J Gates) was slow into stride and TWICE IN CAMDEN (D Ashby) lost momentum and thereafter raced at the back of the field in the early and middle stages.
b)	Jockey L Mxothwa the rider of ABOUND, which shifted out away from the crop and had to be straightened from the 100m, reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
c)	In view of the performance of HUMBLE TUNE (Y Ramzan), which gave ground to the field from the 600m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	Jockey D Ashby reported that TWICE IN CAMDEN did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
e)	The saddle on ABOUND (L Mxothwa) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward.
f)	PATH OF CHOICE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
