Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	TRIPPI'S SILK (A Domeyer) reared in the stalls, turned around and jumped out over the back gates, was examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay. As a result of this incident, Jockey A Domeyer required attention from the paramedics, which caused a further delay.
b)	Fair start.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 400m BRISTOL HERCULES (R Fourie) was directed to the inside of FAIRE ADVANTAGE (C Orffer), which was hanging out and rolled out marginally.
b)	Leaving the 300m INFRARED (L Mxothwa) had to be steadied when close to the heels of ESCARPMENT (K Steyn), which was carried in by ORIENTAL CHARM (G van Niekerk), which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened.
c)	In view of the performance of GYPSY EXPRESS (O Noach), which raced at the head of the field and tired quickly from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding TRIPPI'S SILK (A Domeyer), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 31/12/2023 to 06/01/2024 inclusive). TRIPPI'S SILK may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
e)	ORIENTAL CHARM, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised. (SC)
